Deans Gone Wild

"Law Faculty Plotted to Oust Dean,"  by Cory Weinberg (The GW Hatchet)

Money Quote: "“I kept thinking of that old proverb, ‘If you go after the king, you better make sure you take the king out,’ ” one full-time law professor said. “We didn’t take the king out, but the king took himself out.”

Inside story of the near coup of former George Washington Law School Dean Paul Schiff Berman.

Hat tip to Not Relevant who recommends a visit to the comment thread in which insiders debate how said former King, err, Dean treated subordinates, err, faculty and lemmings, err, students.

Lewis & Clark Law School Dean Robert Klonoff manages to turn coup of having sitting U S Supreme Court Justice presiding over moot court competition into public relations disaster by requiring college paper to submit story of big visit to Roberts for approval before publication.

"New dean of SLU law school sets course for future," by Tim Barker (St. Louis Post Dispatch)

SLU Law School welcomes its fourth leader since 2010. What could possibly be the root cause for such discord? "The school’s problems, observers say, are reflected in the school’s most recent evaluation by U.S. News and World Report, which publishes closely watched rankings of colleges and universities every year."

    3. 2:16, I see your professional success is so great that you have all this time to troll scamblogs. You must be so successful as an attorney, so rich and great, that you still come here.

      You are retarded.

      Goodbye.

    2. ^ The really demented part is that you would actually SHOW that guy's comment to your father.

This'll be, what, police report #15 for you?

"Shamed and prosecuted."I think you have delusions of grandeur. And you're about as far from "grand" as a person can possibly get.

"Bobby! Long time no see. So anyhoo, there's this site on the Internet that is FULL of big meanheads. I KNOW, right? How many internet SWAT teams can you make available tomorrow?"

  5. "I hope this won't shock or upset you, Mr. Director, but these criminals actually claimed that my dear old mother was SO fat that her butt had its own zip code. ITS OWN ZIP CODE!"

    2. Are your feelings hurt, because people are finally starting to remove your moronic comments, waterhead?!?! You have yet to make a cogent argument as to why law school is a wise investment for most students.

In contrast, I - along with many others - have proven that law school is a terrible economic decision for most students. Look at the charts, graphs, NALP reports, industry statements, BLS data, Henderson's bi-modal distribution analysis, Herwig Schlunk's economic paper regarding "legal education," Campos's blog, critical statements from lawyers, adjunct "professors" and the then-president of the California state bar, etc. that we have used to back up our case, cockroach.

You have not produced anything similar to bolster your little assertions. Frankly, you merely state that law school is a good choice for students. You ignore the skyrocketing tuition, job outlook, law school-funded positions, Department of Labor projections on the lawyer field, bloated faculty salaries, and monstrous levels of non-dischargeable debt. That makes you a seething retard.
