The ABA aggressively promotes the law-school scam but has to be seen as doing something about it, so it picks on a couple of the most atrocious law schools while giving 190 others a pass. It so happens that certain for-profit law schools—notably Arizona Summit, Florida Coastal, Cooley, Thomas Jefferson, Appalachian—are the easiest targets, notwithstanding InfiLaw's efforts to exert influence within the ABA.
I don't think that the ABA is going after the for-profit toilets on purpose; it's just that they happen to be the low-hanging fruit.
Old Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02399124824529778710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3660083024919144793.post-73401582983196290902017-11-05T14:19:17.982-07:002017-11-05T14:19:17.982-07:00It seems that the ABA has decided to throw the for...It seems that the ABA has decided to throw the for-profit schools to the wolves to try and draw attention away from the huge numbers of non-profits which are almost as bad.Atavisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04322154136007443079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3660083024919144793.post-32598819401494374882017-11-04T12:01:27.679-06:002017-11-04T12:01:27.679-06:00For $ome rea$on, the regulators don't go after...For $ome rea$on, the regulators don't go after the "non-profit" law schools for the same behavior.Nandohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06423524039657355134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3660083024919144793.post-36762531069438998162017-11-04T07:32:26.000-06:002017-11-04T07:32:26.000-06:00https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house...https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/2366/cosponsors?overview=closedAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3660083024919144793.post-59254956663067138632017-11-03T14:48:08.107-06:002017-11-03T14:48:08.107-06:00Score one for Alan Collinge :) http://www.rollings...Score one for Alan Collinge :) http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/taibbi-the-great-college-loan-swindle-w510880
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
